About The Event

For Year 12 & 13 students who are considered to be potential leaders. This active 5 day residential course will, through the leadership opportunities provided, begin to turn their potential into reality. Development of Leadership skills including communication skills, skills of briefing and debriefing, self- confidence, initiative and self reliance will be the outcome. 

An opportunity exists to achieve the Adventure Based Learning (Domain) Unit Standard 24663 (L3 C3) ‘Demonstrate leadership while participating in an ABL programme’

 

Students will gain some insight into the world of work for those employed as outdoor instructors. They will be introduced to the tertiary pathways that lead to a career in outdoor education, adventure tourism and outdoor recreation.

    This is all inclusive including transport from Christchurch return, accommodation and food. For assessment to take place a MoU will need to be setup between the School, The Boyle and Skills Active. Please enquire to the Boyle manager for more information about this process.
