About The Event

About

The Boyle River Potential Leaders Programme is a five-day residential outdoor leadership experience designed for Year 12 and 13 students who are ready to challenge themselves, step outside their comfort zone, and develop the confidence to lead others.

Set in the heart of the Lewis Pass, participants learn through adventure-based experiences that foster leadership, teamwork, resilience, communication, and personal growth. Through a combination of outdoor activities, group challenges, and facilitated reflection, students gain a deeper understanding of themselves, how groups function, and what it means to be an effective leader.

The programme provides opportunities to develop practical outdoor skills, strengthen interpersonal relationships, build self-confidence, and explore future pathways within outdoor recreation, conservation, and leadership-focused careers. Participants may also have the opportunity to gain NZQA credits and use the programme towards the Residential Project component of the Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award.

More than just an outdoor experience, the Potential…
