About The Event

About

Challenge yourself, build resilience, and put your teamwork and leadership skills to the test in the incredible outdoors of Aotearoa New Zealand.

This Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold/Silver Adventurous Journey programme is designed to support participants in meeting the requirements of their Adventurous Journey while developing practical outdoor skills, confidence, self-reliance, and a strong sense of camaraderie.

Participants will work in small groups to plan, prepare for, and undertake a journey in a natural environment, navigating real challenges and unfamiliar terrain together. Along the way, you’ll build competence in expedition skills, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making - while experiencing some of New Zealand’s most stunning landscapes.

Participants should arrive with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a reasonable baseline level of fitness. If you’re ready to step outside your comfort zone, collaborate with like-minded peers, and complete a meaningful and rewarding Adventurous Journey, this programme is for you.
