The Anne Hut has now been replaced and is fully operational. It has been moved a little way from the previous site but is well signed.

 

Weather

Weather can be a tricky one as there is no one area which reports our weather. The best bet is to visit the Metservice site and check out the Canterbury High Country and Buller forecasts and make a decision based on the two.

Shuttles in the Lewis Pass Area

The Boyle River Outdoor Education Centre provides a shuttle service to the top end of the St James walkway and other 'local' tracks/valleys. We are also able to provide reasonably secure parking at the centre for vehicles whilst the owners are out and about.

The costs for shuttles from the Boyle Lodge are:
St James Walkway $26
Nina Valley $16
Doubtful Valley $16
Hope Valley/Windy Point $21

Shuttles are done in the owner’s vehicle and the car is returned to the Centre by the Boyle staff member/guardian for parking. Remember to leave room for the driver!
If you have them, please bring 2 sets of keys (the driver locks them in the car).

Sorry we don’t do pick ups.

Parking

Parking at the Lodge is $7 per day for each vehicle.

Advance booking helps everyone

Please book these services by contacting Boyle River Outdoor Education Centre with your name, contact phone number, and time & date of your shuttle. This ensures that a staff member will be available to do the shuttle (the earliest shuttle available is 9am).

Backpacker Accomodation

Backpacker Accommodation is sometimes available:
Adults: $28/night
Youth: $18 /night
Camping: $11 /night

Showers

Post activity showers are available at $6

Clothes Washing 

There is a washing machine available for use for $6 per load (including powder)

Food Parcel Storage

For those on extended journeys we are able to store food parcels etc. The charge is $10 per parcel.
They need to be clearly labeled with date of arrival and mouse proofed!
