The Boyle asset is looked after at weekends by friends of The Boyle known as Guardians.

In return for a travel voucher a family ‘house sits’ the facility and does a couple of chores such as reading the weather station (The Boyle has a contract to provide monthly to NIWA the daily rainfall, temperature etc) and attending to visitors and trampers who require parking and/or a shuttle.

Guardians are responsible for providing their own food and are able to undertake short walks. Currently their abode is the Sinclair Cottage.
