(2008) Here is an exciting new course we are going to be running this year. Course Dates and Costs For more information about this course give us a call. BUSH AND SNOW SKILLS For Yr 11 to 13 students who are keen ‘mountain adventurers’ and will benefit from an active Adventure Based Learning and Outdoor Pursuits Course. Students need to be reasonably fit for this course The 5 day course aims to develop initiative, teamwork, communication skills, self-confidence, and self-reliance. The students will experience a variety of activities and learn navigation, bush and some snow skills. They will work towards Outdoor Recreation (domain) Unit Standard 20159 ‘Access & compare weather information for outdoor recreation’ (L3 C1) They will gain some insight into the Outdoor instructors world of work and career opportunities in the outdoors
