| Group Responsibilities: | ||
| Progammes |
Proposed programmes and staffing requirements
must be forwarded to the Manager at least 4 weeks prior to arrival. Amendments may be necessary to comply with BROEC safety policies. On arrival, time should be allowed for an introductory talk to the whole group by a member of the Centre staff. |

| Lodge |
Groups are responsible for any damage to the
Centre or the equipment and will be charged for any damage caused. All
equipment and clothing must be returned at the end of the camp. Groups are responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in and around the buildings. Before departure the Manager will check that the premises have been left in a suitable condition for the next group. All rubbish must be taken away with the group on departure. For safety reasons cigarettes, non-prescription drugs and alcohol are not permitted at the Lodge. Adult users may make application to the Centre Manager for exemption to this rule and conditions of use. |

| Supervision |
Groups using the facilities are responsible for
providing complete supervision of the group. Adequate supervision is
dependent on the age and experience of the group members and the
supervising staff. Staffing ratios may be negotiated with the Manager. Any potentially hazardous activities must be supervised in accordance with BROEC safety policies. Reference should be made to the Ministry of Education publication ‘Safety and EOTC’ when planning a camp for young people. |

| Charges |
Groups are responsible for payment of the
agreed charges based on the 'CHARGES' information sheet provided. Payment of the deposit invoice confirms your booking. Telephone calls will be charged the month after departure by separate invoice. Bookings for Instructors cannot be cancelled within 2 weeks of the commencement of the camp. Final payment must be made on departure by direct debit or cheque. Bank details are sent with the Deposit Invoice. Please make arrangements PRIOR to arrival to pay the final invoice. |

| Supplies |
In addition to personal gear the Group must
provide: Dish washing Liquid & gloves Hand Soap Tea Towels Supermarket bags for bin liners Big Rubbish Bags Toilet paper General First Aid Kits (1 per activity group) Food Matches Cutlery and crockery for camp out Meths for trangia stoves Sleeping bags and pillows |

| Equipment |
Parkas, over trousers, polypropylene tops &
leggings, fibre pile clothing, woollen hats and gloves, wetsuits, life jackets, paddle jackets, helmets, rubber tubes, tents and flies, foam sleeping mats, packs, billies, thermos flasks, snow shovels, ice axes, compasses, maps, and a portable toilet. All clothing and equipment must be returned in good condition |

| Emergency |
The Centre has a backboard, stretcher and First
Aid Supplies for emergency use only. Any BROEC first aid supplies used, must be replaced. Groups must provide their own general First Aid Kits sufficient for 1 kit per activity group of 10. |
