'Go For It' Adventure Weekends       Info and Enrolment Form

This is a fantastic opportunity to gather some friends and head up to the Boyle for an exciting, adventurous weekend in the outdoors.  Choose from a great range of activities including but not limited to Abseiling, Rock Climbing, Canyoning, High Ropes, Orienteering and Rafting. Challenge yourself during the day, let us cook for you in the evening and then relax in the Hot Pools.

Enrol through the Boyle or at Kaiapoi High (www.kaiapoi.school.nz/adults).

Course Dates and Costs

We also provide customized GO FOR IT weekends: Ideal for clubs, work groups, staff training and team building. Book youe own special weekend for your group.

Example programme:    

Saturday: Mini Bus Departs Kaiapoi High School

Kaiapoi High School 7.30am.
Waipara 8.10am
Waikari 8.25am
Culverden 8.40am
Hanmer Turnoff 9.15am
Arrive Boyle 10am

OR: make your own way to arrive at 10am

Introductions and a selection of activities including but not limited to:
Low and High Ropes, Climbing, Abseiling, Orienteering.

Evening meal, Nightline, Hot Pools, Social Time.
 

Sunday: More activities, possibly including Tubing, or Canyoning

     Late afternoon departure, to arrive at Kaiapoi by approx 6.30pm.  

Risk Disclosure:

Due to the nature of the environment (uneven ground, white water, weather etc.) there is some level of risk involved. BROEC will identify and minimize any foreseeable risks or hazards according to the BROEC Safe Operation Plans, BUT ARE UNABLE TO REMOVE ALL RISKS. Participants are able to inform the Activity Leader if they do not feel safe and will accept his/her advice. There is always choice about the level of participation.

What to Wear:

Casual clothes will be suitable in the Lodge. Bring comfortable old clothes for outdoor activities - you may get wet/muddy!

What to Bring: (all in a case or pack)

• daypack
• water bottle
• two pairs thick woollen socks
• warm woollen
  jersey/fleece*
• woollen gloves or mitts *
• T-shirt
• pair of shorts • warm beanie/hat *
• warm long trousers/track pants >
• sun hat/cap
• toiletries • swim togs
• underwear (your usual) • 2 pairs
  sturdy shoes or boots
• towel (one pair that can get
  wet/muddy
• polypro top & bottom *
• windproof/waterproof
  parka *
 
• own wetsuit if available *
• sleeping bag and pillow
• insect repellent • sleep wear
• sun screen • lip screen
• torch • sunglasses
• camera (optional)
• scroggin/snacks
• food - a contribution to the fruit
  bowl and/or cookie jar
• small quantity of liquid refreshment
  for evening meals (optional)
• packed lunch for Saturday


* these items are available from the Boyle (no further cost)

Things you should know:

Your course fee covers minibus transport, accommodation, Saturday evening meal, Sunday breakfast and lunch, Instruction, all activities and clothing hire. If you choose to bring your own car there is no further reduction.

You need to send us your course fees and registration form, and provide us with any special dietary needs as soon as possible.
