Friends of the Boyle The North Canterbury Alpine Trust, operator of the Boyle River Outdoor Education Centre, acknowledges our current friends and invites supporters to contribute to The Boyle as it continues to provide Excellence in Outdoor Education. In recent times industry recognition has come the way of The Boyle in the form of the Outdoors New Zealand Best Facility Award (2004) and Outdoors Mark which is the NZ standard for outdoor operators.
Our Current Friends are:
E.B. Millton Charitable Trust Annually support us by meeting the cost of the Ropes Course annual audit and subsequent upgrade. Cost between $3300-$4000
Pub Charity In 2007 provided $3914 towards the cost of tents
Lion Foundation In 2006 contributed $5000 towards the staff kitchen project and in 2007 met the cost of replacing 36 mattresses valued at $5000
A number of Rotary Clubs supported the Radio Project Through the installation of a radio repeater on the Poplars Range, a base radio, aerial and hand held radios valued at $10000 we were able to gain Outdoors Mark.
The Belfast, Kaiapoi and Rangiora Rotary clubs Regularly provide donations and/or personnel
St Margaret’s’ College, Kaiapoi and Rangiora High Schools Contributions to the Radio Project
The Canterbury Community Trust (Long-time supporter) In 2005 the Trust gifted $50000 towards the provision of staff accommodation and more recently (2007) $24000 towards the sewage upgrade
